Studio Brief 2 - View Point and Depth

The task for this lesson was to develop an illustration including three figures. Within the image we were to consider view point and to give a sense of depth. Then we were to use our chosen image within our etching workshop to create a final finished illustration.

I started off by doing some rough thumb nails of different compositions to get my ideas down.

This is my final etched illustration. I am actually really pleased with it and really enjoyed trying out etching. I think that it creates a really good effect. I think if I could go back and do it again I would create something more challenging that would've given me the opportunity to try out some of the different tools to see the effects they'd give. And maybe leave some areas in the solution for longer so that some parts would be lighter and darker. However, I think for the image that I created it was best to keep it simplistic. I defiantly would like to do etching again in the future as I love the finished look it creates and think it was fun to do.
