I found this lesson to be really helpful breaking down the image and discussing where we can see the lines of sight and what we generally like about the images. It helps talking about other artists work like this so that in future I can think about it when I am producing my own work. In addition, the past few weeks we have been drawing thumb nails a lot which I also find really helpful just getting my thoughts and ideas down like that.
At the end of the day we were given a task to complete which would be in for 3 weeks time. The task was to create an illustration of a mode of transport. I began with thumbnails as I now find it really helpful to thumbnail my work before coming up with a final idea.
Here is my final image. I am actually really pleased with it. I think that it holds some sort of atmosphere to it. The mode of transport is a piggy back. I like that I did a crossed hatched background. However it doesn't have good line of sight and is very flat; which defeats the point of the task. I think I got a bit too caught up in the idea and drawing it I didn't think back to what the task was. Though the light from the moon does give a line of sight onto the monster and the little girl.
