Studio Brief 1 - Study Task 6 - 3D Craft & Lens

After Matt's lesson on 3D art its made me really excited. I have never really considered working in 3D so really excited about the idea of making my own 3D work. I thought that the professional work that Matt showed us was great to see the quirky ideas that you can do like in the three images above. I really love the watermelon one the most; I think Sarah Illenberger has kept it very simplistic but it is very effective and theres clever thoughts behind this piece.

For the task we were to pretend that we were mutants with a specific superpower or mutation.

The idea that I was most excited and draw to was having super long nails. I thought it would look good if I had each nail a different colour and I'll make it out of coloured papers.

These are all the photos that I took:

This is the one that I ended up choosing and sent in to Matt to present to the class. I chose this one as I thought the nails looked great where I have put my hand on my hi p and they've all spread out. Plus the nails haven't gone blurry in this too like the other one with my hand on my hip.
