The book I have been looking at 'The Mysterious Affair At Styles' is based in the middle of WW1 around 1916. So I have had a look at images focusing on their use of colours to understand the colours that would of been used in that era as think that it is very important to portray across within both my animation and printed images a sense of the era. After collecting these images I think that the key colours within them are beige, brown, orange, reds and black. Though I don't want to involve too many colours on the go for either my printed pictures or animation. Therefore I am going to narrow down to three which will be: Black, Cream and burgundy. The cream colour in the printed pictures will just be the fabric itself. I am particularly looking at the colour scheme of this book for inspiration for my colour choice.
