Summer Brief and Feedback

Towards the end of summer we were given a project to kick start the course. On size 10cm by 10cm paper we were told to create 10 illustrations in response to 10 questions which all related to our summer holidays. For example 'Something you heard this summer'.

In class we laid out and presented our work and then did a group crit. We did this by having a walk around and viewed what everyone had presented and leaving a note next to peoples work giving our thoughts and opinions. I thought it was a great opportunity to see everyone's ways of working and to have an insight into their lives and seeing personalities through their work.
My feedback went well; comments mainly saying they like my use of continuous line and watercolours. I feel though that after seeing other peoples work I needed to not be so vague, I think the more successful pieces were the ones that were more simplistic and to the point.
