Induction Week 1

To begin our course we were given a brief named 'The most stupidest brief ever' which involved us bringing in an unwanted garment and illustrate something that would make someone smile on it. I thought this was such a great idea for our first brief so we could see everyone's light humorous side.  For mine I brought in a spare t-shirt and turned it inside out so it gave me a blank base to work on. I picked a popular song which everyone knows and made it humorous. Similar to the summer project crit we presented our garments for everyone to have a walk around and view but instead of leaving notes we were told to draw a bean on three bits of paper and leave a bean on your top three pieces of work. I was really pleased that I received some beans next to my work, its a nice way to give you a bit of boost of confidence. Also it was great to see everyone else's work and the different ways that they interpreted the brief, and showing off their humour.
