Visual Journal Character Exploration

After creating a list of the different themes that I could go down the route of; I thought that it would be a good idea by choosing one and exploring that and then if it doesn't work or feel right I can move on to another one. To begin I decided to choose 'Pets' I think that this would be a very popular path to go down as a lot of people can connect with that. I have drawn a few pages of cat characters in my visual journal using a few different mediums to experiment with. I believe that the cats that I drew in brush pen have come out most successful as I feel that it adds an extra bit of character and personality to them. I think that the ones with the face and body merged into one work best and think that this would transition across well into toys as think would look better than just having a face or a realistic body.
